YARMOUTHPORT – At about 3:40 p.m. Saturday afternoon, there was a single vehicle crash on Route 6A in Yarmouthport in front of the Cape Cod Cooperative Bank. A Chevy Cruze apparently struck a road sign then one of the old stone mileage markers and then a utility pole. The driver was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with unknown injuries. Eversource was called to check on the pole. Route 6A was closed in both directions until the scene was cleared. Yarmouth Police are investigating the crash.
