CENTERVILLE – One person was seriously injured after a major crash in Centerville. The accident happened on Falmouth Road (Route 28) at Phinney’s Lane about 9:30 p.m. Thursday evening. Firefighters had to extricate one victim from the wreckage using the Jaws of Life. That victim was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital.. A total of three ambulances were called to the scene. A MedFlight helicopter was requested but unable to respond because of the weather. The crash completely shut down Route 28 in the area. Barnstable Police called for accident reconstruction as part of their investigation into the crash.
