HYANNIS – Gun shots were fired outside the Cromwell Court Apartments at 168 Barnstable Road in Hyannis shortly after 11 PM Wednesday. Some of the bullets reportedly went through a bedroom wall where a child was sleeping. Luckily no injuries were reported. Barnstable Police are investigating the incident.
From Barnstable Police: On Wednesday August 6, 2025 shortly after 11 PM, Barnstable Police Officers responded to an apartment complex on Barnstable Road in Hyannis for numerous calls of gunshots. There were no reported injuries in the apartment. The area was secured and Detectives responded to assist with the investigation and collect evidence at the crime scene. This incident does not appear to be a random act of violence.
