HYANNIS – Cape Abilities, a non-profit organization that serves individuals with disabilities across the Cape, has added three new members to its board of directors.
Eastham resident and retired doctor James Taylor rejoins the board after previously serving from 2003 to 2011.
Taylor also served 15 years on the Eastham Board of Health and was also a Physician volunteer at Duffy Health Center in Hyannis from 2004 to 2014.
Vivian Haidas, of Osterville, joins the board after serving as a volunteer for the organization for several years. Haidas is a freelance writer and communications consultant.
She has also worked abroad for Education First and in New York City for a philanthropic non-profit.
The last new member is Needham resident Peter Karlson.
Karlson is a former chief technology officer for two Massachusetts-based technology services firms and currently serves as the entrepreneur in residence at the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the board of directors for the Cape Cod Technology Council and the Cape and Islands Workforce Investment Board.
“We look forward to the contributions of Jim, Vivian and Peter to Cape Abilities as we eaglerly move forward into 2016,” said Cape Abilities Board Chairman James Botsford in a press release. “This is a very active, hard-working board and I could not be more proud to work with everyone in this fine group.”
