No swimming at Yarmouth town beaches amid Hurricane Erin

YARMOUTH – Yarmouth Town officials say that no swimming is allowed at town beaches until Saturday due to dangerous rip currents from Hurricane Erin.

Though the storm won’t make landfall, a high surf advisory is in effect and safety officials said the water could be dangerous.

They added that beach erosion is likely amid high winds and rain. Up to 2 inches of rain could come to some areas.
