NANTUCKET – A staged reading of the 1955 play, Moby Dick Rehearsed will be performed under a 46-foot sperm whale skeleton at the Nantucket Whaling Museum in August.

The staged reading depicts a community of characters, including the legendary Captain Ahab, and the turbulent life aboard a 19th century whaling ship.

It’s the sixth straight summer the production has taken place on the island, featuring the Theater Workshop of Nantucket and Artistic Director Emeritus John Shea as Captain Ahab.

The production will go up August 9th through August 12th, with a meet and greet session after the final performance on the 12th.
