Sandwich Arts Alliance to Present ‘Eating for Good Health’ Lecture

SANDWICH – An internal medicine physician will discuss the health and environmental benefits of eating a plant-based diet later this month in Sandwich.

The Literary Group of the Sandwich Arts Alliance will present “Eating for Good Health” with Dr. Kumara Sidhartha on Wednesday, February 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sandwich Public Library.

Sidhartha will share his own studies showing how a plant-based diet can reverse existing heart disease and diabetes in patients, along with preventing the chronic conditions.

His philosophy includes striving to create an informed, empowered and healthy population through lifestyle changes to prevent and treat these chronic diseases.

Sidhartha currently serves as the Medical Director for the Physician-Hospital Organization and Accountable Care Organization of Cape Cod Healthcare.

Event coordinator Kathryn Kleekamp said Sidhartha will also spend time interacting with the audience.

A donation of $5 online at sandwichartsalliance.org or $10 at the door is requested.
