SHORT: When architecture fosters community, a house serves as much more than just shelter

Gail Sullivan of Studio G Architects discusses her firm’s involvement in creating affordable housing at Maurice Campground. She emphasizes that shelter is only one function of housing. Many tradesmen need storage for the equipment vital to their work. Their families want outdoor space for children to play. As more needs are met through architectural planning, communities will grow and strengthen the experience of the residents as well as those in proximity.
