Yarmouth Police Activate Operation Safe Ride Home

Yarmouth PoliceYARMOUTH – The Yarmouth police department is doing their part to try and keep drunk drivers off the road this holiday weekend.

The department has once again activated “Operation Safe Ride Home,” which provides residents who may not be able to drive a free ride home from any Yarmouth based liquor establishment.

The program is funded by donations from the Yarmouth business community. Residents can call Town Taxi for the ride at 508-775-5555.

The service will be offered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 10 pm to 2 am.

“The Yarmouth Police Department is dedicated to making Yarmouth the safest community in the region to visit, work, live, and raise a family and we thank the Yarmouth business community for partnering with us with financial support to keep this successful life-saving program active throughout this special weekend.”
