BREWSTER – A Brewster police officer helped make an unusual rescue Wednesday — a seagull in distress.
Lt. George Bausch assisted Brewster Animal Control in freeing a gull that had pierced its wing on a stake on top of a chimney near Breakwater Beach.
The seagull seemed unfazed by the experience once freed from the perch.
