Fire heavily damages Falmouth duplex

FALMOUTH – Falmouth Fire Rescue reports that at approximately 12:45 AM Tuesday morning, they were dispatched to a building fire on Pelican Lane in the Downtown district. Upon arrival, crews were met with heavy smoke and fire showing from an occupied 2 family duplex.

A working fire was struck, bringing the remainder of on-duty Falmouth firefighters, as well as mutual aid station coverage from Bourne, Mashpee and Joint Base Cape Cod.

The fire was extinguished in about an hour. There were no injuries. The fire is being investigated by the Falmouth Fire, Falmouth Police and the State Fire Marshals Office.
