Hyannis man accused of trafficking fentanyl

HYANNIS – Barnstable Police report that during the months of May and June 2017, Officers from the Barnstable Police Department initiated a Fentanyl distribution investigation targeting 32-year-old Christopher Prusinski. The investigation involved undercover purchases of Fentanyl from Prusinski and from his residence located at 63 Louis Street in Hyannis.

Det. Cronin applied for and was granted a search warrant from Barnstable District Court for Prusinski’s residence. On June 22nd, Detectives established surveillance and observed Prusinski leave his residence operating a motor vehicle. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and Prusinski was found in possession of a small amount of Fentanyl and $900.00 cash.

Officers then executed the search warrant and encountered two adult females and a small child in the residence. The search resulted in the location of approximately 22 grams of suspected Fentanyl in Prusinski’s bedroom along with $1400.00 cash, diluting agents, and a digital scale.

As a result of the investigation, Christopher Prusinski was placed under arrest and transported to the Barnstable Police Department where he was booked and charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl. Prusinki’s bail was established at one thousand dollars.
