MATTAPOISETT – Two crashes on I-195 Monday morning caused extensive traffic delays. The first happened on the eastbound side before exit 20 in Mattapoisett about 10:30 AM. A truck rolled over and rescuers had to extricate the driver using the Jaws of Life. His injuries were not believed to be serious.
Then shortly before 11:30 AM, a crash happened on the westbound side of I-195 by exit 21 (Route 28) in Wareham. No serious injuries but debris forced the closure of all lanes for a time.
Both crashes are under investigation by Mass State Police.
