Updated: Oak Bluffs Police find hit & run vehicle, driver to be summonsed

OAK BLUFFSUpdate: Oak Bluffs Officers have located the Chevy Monte Carlo (pictured) and received a statement from the involved owner/operator who is identified as Hamilton M. Walker, 19, of Vineyard Haven.

Mr. Walker will be summonsed to the Edgartown District Court on the charges of Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Trespassing with a Motor Vehicle.

Previous story: Oak Bluffs Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash hit & run that occurred early this morning in “The Preserve” development on County Road. The crash caused thousands of dollars in damages as shown in the attached photo.

Investigating officers were able to determine from evidence gathered at the scene that the involved vehicle is a gray early 2000 model Chevy Monte Carlo.

The Monte Carlo will have extensive damage. It will be missing side plastic panels and the side view mirror on the passenger side.
