Orleans Police Relief Association donates check to scholarship in honor of fallen Falmouth students

ORLEANS – The Orleans Police Relief Association donated a $300 check this week to a scholarship created after the death of two Falmouth High School students.

Officers delivered the check during a game between Falmouth and Nauset.

Nauset Hockey helped raised money to establish the 10-19 fund in memory of James Lavin, who wore #10, and Owen Higgins, who wore #19.

Both were killed last month, just days before Christmas, in a one-car accident after leaving hockey practice.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
