FALMOUTH – Falmouth Police report that they seized jewelry, power tools, laptops, and a large amount of marijuana while serving a search warrant Friday afternoon.
The search warrant was served at a residence on Haddon Avenue in Falmouth.
Officers identified and arrested a suspect, 29-year-old Brandon K. Patterson (right), after they spotted him at a local restaurant. Initially, Patterson ran from police and locked himself in a bathroom. Officers were able to gain entry to the bathroom and Patterson was placed in custody following a brief struggle.
An investigation related to the recent breaking and entering incidents at local homes and businesses, led to the search warrant. During the search, police seized multiple pieces of jewelry, leaf blowers, laptops, GPS units, coins, a chainsaw, numerous tools, and a large amount of marijuana.
Patterson faces preliminary charges of three counts of receiving stolen property, possession of heroin, common and notorious thief, and resisting arrest. Patterson is expected to be arraigned Monday at Falmouth District Court.
