Sandwich man charged as fugitive from justice for Connecticut warrants


SANDWICH
– Sandwich Police report that on Friday at approximately 12:25 PM, that with direction from Watertown Connecticut they were attempting to locate 33-year-old Matthew Carroll of Sandwich to place him under arrest for warrants out of Connecticut. While attempting to serve the warrant, Carroll fled the scene in a commercial vehicle.

Surrounding towns were given the description of the vehicle. Bourne Police located the vehicle with Carroll as the operator. Sandwich Police Officer Wood and Sergeant Trayner took custody of Carroll in Bourne and transported him to the Sandwich Police Department where he was charged with Fugitive from Justice.

Carroll’s warrants from Connecticut consist of 5 counts of Burglary, 5 counts of Criminal Trespass, 5 counts of Larceny, 3 counts of Failure to Appear, 2 counts of Assault, and one count of Disorderly Conduct.
