SANDWICH – A toddler reportedly suffered burns after being scalded by hot food in Sandwich. Rescuers were called to a Percival Lane residence about 8 PM and requested a medical helicopter. Because of an extended ETA the ambulance headed to a trauma center and met up with the LifeFlight helo at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. A second child reportedly suffered minor burns in the incident and was taken to Cape Cod Hospital. Further details were not immediately available.
