BREWSTER – Brewster Police and Fire-Rescue were dispatched to the area of Slough Rd and Old Red Top Road Thursday just after 3 p.m. for a 2 car motor vehicle accident with possible injuries.
Rescuers found a Dodge Caravan and a Plymouth Breeze had sideswiped each other on a curve causing moderate to severe damage to both vehicles with air bag deployment.
Medics from Brewster Fire evaluated both drivers and while shaken up by the crash, both refused further treatment and transport. Traffic on Slough Rd was initially blocked in both directions and then opened to one alternating lane while the scene was worked. Both vehicles had to be towed.
The accident is under investigation by the Brewster Police.
