WELLFLEET – A woman who reported to Wellfleet Police 8 years ago that her wallet had been stolen from her car while parked in town has been reunited with her property.
The department said Courtney Connolly recently contacted them to report that the wallet was returned to her with her money and other items still inside.
It was turned in to Boston Police.
Wellfleet officials said it remains a mystery as to where it’s been over the past 8 years.
Connolly was on Cape Cod for an internship when it was stolen. In addition to all the cash, her credit cards were also in the wallet and had never been used.
