Yarmouth hit and run suspect identified and charged

YARMOUTH –  Yarmouth Police have identified and charged the driver wanted in connection with a hit-and-run accident early Thursday morning.

 Yarmouth Police Patrol Officers Jeffrey Rivett and Christopher Eccleston found a silver Pontiac Grand Prix registered to Ryan McBride, 27, parked in front of 1 Mayflower Lane with significant right front end damage.

The area of the damage and the color of the vehicle were consistent with the suspect vehicle, the location where the vehicle was found is also in close proximity to the earlier accident which occurred on Ice House Road at approximately 1:00AM.

The people in the home were uncooperative with police. Ryan was inside the home but refused to speak with the officers.

According to Yarmouth Police, McBride is well known to Cape Cod Law Enforcement.

He’s been charged with the following crimes:

Leaving the Scene Property Damage Accident

Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle

Uninspected Motor Vehicle
