BARNSTABLE – Barnstable High School officials received a bomb threat Wednesday and evacuated the school for the second time this week.
At about 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, students and staff evacuated the school. Barnstable Police were on the scene as was the State Police which responded with a bomb detection unit.
Staff and students were able to return inside the school at 1:40 p.m. in order to prepare for the end of the school day.
Barnstable Police Sergeant Michael Riley would not say how the threat was received.
A threat also came in Monday and a similar evacuation took place. Police are still investigating both incidents.
