BREWSTER – The April Meeting of the Cape Cod Bird Club will explore the behavior and biology of the different terns of Cape Cod.

Guest speaker Peter Trull will take attendees on a photo journey of the Cape’s four tern species: Roseate, Artic, Common and Least.

The presentation will include never before seen photos and provide an opportunity for questions and discussion about rarely seen behaviors of the seabirds.

Trull is a past president of the Cape Cod Bird Club and has been involved in research and education for the last 35 years.

He currently teaches 7th grade Science at the Cape Cod Lighthouse Charter School in Harwich and has written six books about the natural history of Cape Cod.

The club recently awarded a full scholarship for a one-week Bird Studies for Teens camp in Maine to Richard “Jamie” Gilson of Harwich.

The 14-year-old is an avid birder and bird illustrator and has been attending bird club meetings since he was 10.

The meeting is Monday, April 10 at 7 p.m. at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster.

All meetings are free and open to the public.
