Just before 10 p.m., officer Christopher Wrighter was finishing dinner with his family when he heard commotion at another table.
Another woman was performing the Heimlich maneuver but was unsuccessful.
Wrighter took over as the choking woman started to lose consciousness.
He got the woman to the floor and started chest compressions resulting in the woman regaining consciousness.
She then freed her airway of the food that was causing the obstruction.
Paramedics arrived and examined the woman who is recovering.
