MASHPEE – School start times will be the topic of discussion during a public hearing tonight in Mashpee.
A proposed plan by the 17-person school start time committee explores pushing back the start time of Mashpee Middle/High School one hour with start times for Quashnet Elementary and K.C. Coombs School’s beginning 45 minutes later.
The goal of the later times is to help adolescent students get more sleep to perform better academically and stay healthier.
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the Quashnet school library.
