Rectrix Commuter Service Ridership Exceeds Expectations

HYANNIS – Rectrix Aviation officials say the demand remains strong for its new commuter passenger service between Hyannis and Nantucket.

The company has flown over 400 roundtrips carrying more than 3,500 passengers in its first three months of service. The airline eclipsed its projected goal of 3,250 riders.

The commuter shuttle service is a new venture for Rectrix, which is the state’s largest private charter company.

“We have been thrilled by the enthusiastic reception of our first commuter passenger service,” said Richard Cawley, the CEO of Rectrix Commercial Aviation Services, in s statement. “The Hyannis to Nantucket route is well-travelled, and our ability to succeed in this market is an affirmation of our decision to ensure the highest levels of reliability, safety, and comfort on every single flight we provide.”

Rectrix operates six daily, roundtrip flights between Hyannis and Nantucket.

“Our sales projections remain strong and customers can expect us to continue serving and growing this route as summer fast approaches,” Cawley said.

The company also offers two frequent flyer incentives for passengers.

Rectrix offers a reduced fare commuter bundle package and a rewards program which allows customers to earn points towards a private jet chartered flight on the company’s Learjet or Challenger aircraft.
