Two Harwich Selectmen Say They Will Not Seek Re-Election

HARWICH – Two long-time selectmen in Harwich plan to step aside later this year, meaning both seats up for election this May will be open contests.

Peter Hughes and Angelo LaMantia will not seek re-election. Hughes has served for 15 years on the board over the last two decades while LaMantia has spent the past 9 years as a selectman.

Candidates interested in running need to turn in nomination papers by March 28. The deadline to pick up nomination papers is March 24. 

Town election is scheduled for May 16.
