HYANNIS – Hundreds of residents on Cape Cod will gather this weekend to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care.
The Cape’s inaugural Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held Sunday at Veterans Park Beach in Hyannis.
Funds raised are used for care, support and research efforts for those impacted by the disease.
In 2015, the 11 Walk to End Alzheimer’s events held by the Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter raised over $3.7 million. More than $77 million was raised nationwide.
Registration starts at 8 a.m. The opening ceremony begins at 9 a.m. with the walk stepping off at 9:30 a.m.
