YARMOUTH PORT – At about 2:45 PM Saturday afternoon, a Dennis ambulance returning from the hospital came upon a two-vehicle accident near 107 RT 6A in Yarmouth Port.
The driver of the Dodge Caravan reportedly saw a Ford F-350 pickup truck crossing the center line and pulled over to the right and was struck on the drivers side. The pickup truck continued down the road a short distance back on the correct side of the road and stopped.
There were no injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was taken in to custody, reportedly for operating under the influence of liquor.
Route 6A was closed in both directions until the scene was cleared. Yarmouth Police are investigating the crash.
