MASHPEE – A new art exhibit will be on display this week at Woodruff’s Art Center in Mashpee Commons.
“Five Expressions” will feature the works of the faces behind the scenes of Woodruff’s Rice Gallery.
The exhibition of the works of Jessie Nickerson, Lisa Horton, Amy Rice, Cynthia Cruz and Chris O’Dell Ferguson will be on display from Thursday through March 11.
An opening reception and meet-the-artists event will kick off the exhibition on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.
The fellowship of artists work together at the gallery during the week as they curate exhibits, assist customers and teach workshops.
Their styles are deeply individual and represent a broad range of mediums, including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pen and ink and mixed media.
The works also range from realistic to abstract.
The Art Center is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
