PROVINCETOWN – Provincetown residents interested in running for elected positions in town this year can now pick up nomination papers.
One position is up for election on the Board of Selectmen. The term will be for three years.
Two three-year terms are up on the school committee. Voters will also elect a candidate for a one-year term on the board.
The Board of Library Trustees will have two spots available for a three-year term and one position up for election for a one-year term.
Voters will also choose two candidates for a three-year term on the Charter Enforcement Commission, one person for a two-year term, and one candidate for a one-year term.
Nomination papers can be picked up at the Provincetown Town Clerk’s Office. The deadline to obtain the paperwork is February 22. Nomination papers need to be turned in by March 13.
Any person in town is eligible for election, but no resident can hold more than one elected office.
Annual Town Election is set for May 1.
