HARWICH – At about 7:45 AM, Harwich Fire-Rescue and Police were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle crash in front of 90 Great Western Road with unknown injuries. Upon arrival, rescuers found a Chrysler 300 sedan and a landscaping trailer being towed by a pickup truck had collided resulting in significant damage and air bag deployment to the car, and the roadway blocked. Firefighters extricated the driver of the vehicle and Medics evaluated for possible transport to Cape Cod Hospital. Firefighters also handled a small fuel spill. It appeared that there were no injuries to the driver of the landscaping truck. Harwich Police blocked Great Western Road at Depot Road as well as Herring Run until the vehicles could be cleared from the roadway. The accident is under investigation by Harwich Police. The scene was cleared in less than 45 minutes and Great Western Road reopened to full traffic.
