TRURO – A dump truck struck a utility pole in Truro just afternoon Friday. The crash happened on Prince Valley Road near Old County Road. The pole was snapped and live wires came down on the truck trapping the uninjured driver of the Cape Cod Excavating truck until Eversource could arrive and cut the power. Prince Valley Road was expected to be closed while the pole was replaced. The crash is under investigation by Truro Police.
