WELLFLEET – Mass Audubon is offering an opportunity to learn about birds during their Cheap Eats Series, so named because participants are invited to bring a brown bag lunch to the discussions. Audubon scientist Mark Faherty will lead a seminar taking place Wednesday, November 7th in Wellfleet beginning at 11:00.
The event will focus on Mapping Pine Warblers, Faherty will be presenting the findings for the 2018 seasonal survey. The discussion is scheduled at Wellfleet Bay at an indoor venue. Prices are $3.00 for members and $5.00 for non-members and registration is required.
Hot beverages will be offered along with snacks during the presentation and anyone with a lunch is welcome to enjoy it after the 30 minute program concludes.
Wellfleet Bay’s banding research has extended beyond the migration season with a new project mapping the movements of Nesting Pine Warblers on the sanctuary. For more information visit massaudubon.org.
