SANDWICH – A two-alarm fire raged through a home in Sandwich early Sunday morning. The call at 11 Jacobs Meadow Road came in shortly after 3:30 AM. Mutual aid from several surrounding departments responded to the scene and to cover the Sandwich station. Firefighters made a defensive attack from the exterior of the structure. Initial reports were all occupants were able to get out of the home safely. One firefighter was taken to a hospital with possible heat exhaustion but is expected to be okay. The State Fire Marshal’s office was requested to investigate the blaze.
