HARWICH – Cranberry Valley Golf Course in Harwich is seeing increases in both membership and revenue. Officials from the course recently appeared before the town’s board of selectmen to discuss the state of the town-owned facility.
Golf Committee Chairman Clem Smith told the board that Cranberry Valley has seen membership increase for a third straight year and has reached a new high of $1.8 million in revenue for 2018.
Smith also informed the board that their new solid steel cart barn is 95 percent completed and will eventually hold 80 carts and be able to withstand hurricane force winds.
Other updates at the facility include a new clean water recycling system and the updating of gas-powered carts to a more environmentally friendly electric version.
Cranberry Valley Golf Course recently played host to the New England Intercollegiate Golf Championship.
