TRURO – A man reportedly suffered burns to his leg in Truro Saturday afternoon. The victim was transferred to a MedFlight helicopter at the Orleans Middle School for transport to a burn center. Gusty winds made the chopper landing a little tricky as captured by Orleans Police:
On Sunday, Truro Police released the following statement: On Saturday members of the Truro Police Department, Truro Fire Department, and Lower Cape Ambulance were dispatched to 21 South Pamet Road for reports an 85-year-old male had suffered burns to his lower body. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male received significant burns to both his legs and hands while attending to a fire in his fireplace. Lower Cape Ambulance transported the victim to Orleans where he was transferred to a MedFlight and airlifted to a Boston hospital.
