OSTERVILLE – From COMM Fire: At 1054 hours, Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills FD received a call for a person on a boat (32 foot intrepid) requiring medical aid in the area of Colliers Ledge by Buoy 5 (Nantucket Sound.) COMM FD Marine 310, Hyannis FD Marine 808, and Barnstable Harbormaster’s marine unit responded to the scene. The Harbormaster’s marine unit arrived on location and rendered aid. COMM Car 301 (chief of department) arrived at Craigville Beach and assumed command of the incident. Marine 310 and Marine 808 arrived on location. The patient was transferred to Marine 808 who brought the patient to the Hyannis Port Yacht Club to meet an HYFD ambulance for transport to Cape Cod Hospital. Coast Guard was notified of the incident and Barnstable County Sheriffs Office marine unit responded to the scene as well. Extent of the patient’s injuries are unknown.
