SOUTH YARMOUTH – The Cape Cod Foundation recently awarded a $10,000 grant to two organizations to support their ongoing partnership to strengthen the local economy and workforce through entrepreneurship.
EforAll Cape Cod and Cape Cod Young Professionals are recipients of the joint grant.
EforAll, a Massachusetts-based nonprofit, introduced a small business/nonprofit accelerator program to the Cape in 2018.
The program provides educational, mentoring, networking and investment opportunities to aspiring and current entrepreneurs. Since its founding, the organization has facilitated the launch of 349 startups, which have created 626 jobs and generated over $18 million in revenue.
CCYP has worked to connect, engage, and advance the next generation of the region’s workforce and community leaders through networking, career development opportunities, civic engagement and advocacy since 2006.
CCYP has helped EforAll to recruit and support participants and volunteers for the program, along with providing marketing.
“When nonprofit organizations form strategic alliances, they can have a greater impact in the community,” said Kristin O’Malley, the President and CEO of The Cape Cod Foundation. “In this case, both organizations have missions that align and complement each other. Joining forces and sharing infrastructure, networks, and resources will propel both organizations forward to their common goal.”
