MASHPEE – Fire broke at a home in Mashpee around 11:15 PM Friday evening. Flames and smoke were showing from 69 Trout Brook Road. A second alarm brought mutual aid to the scene. All occupants escaped safely and no injuries were reported. Firefighters were able to quickly get the fire under control. The State Fire Marshal’s office was called to investigate the cause of the fire. The Red Cross is providing temporary shelter for the displaced occupants.
