SANDWICH – Saturday morning at around 5:45 AM, Sandwich Firefighters and a Coast Guard crew from Station Cape Cod Canal responded to a fisherman swept into the water by waves and currents. The incident happened at Town Neck Beach. A kayaker assisted until CG crew arrived.The victim was taken to a hospital after reportedly being in the water for about an hour.
