DENNIS – Dennis Fire and Police responded to the Swan River Bridge on Lower County Road after several reports of a man in distress in the river around 1:30 PM Sunday. Several kayakers tried to assist the gentlemen until rescuers arrived. Officials believe a medical condition may have caused the man to become disoriented. The man was removed safely from the water and evaluated by EMTs.
