YARMOUTH – Yarmouth Fire reports they responded to a single car crash westbound prior to exit 8 on route 6. Oneperson was trapped in the Toyota Camry requiring additional resources and a full department recall to cover the stations. The extrication was conducted under the direction of Capt. Omerzu and carried out by the members of B-shift. Once the roof was removed and a complete quick assessment conducted, the patient was extricated from the vehicle with very minor injuries. He was transported to the hospital for evaluation due to mechanism of the crash.
