HYANNIS – Gas prices in Massachusetts are back up three cents over the past week.
AAA Northeast reports that self-serve, regular unleaded is selling for an average of $2.51 per gallon.
That price is 10 cents below the national average and 23 cents lower than at this time in 2018.
“While most states are seeing more expensive gas prices on the week, the good news is the majority of increases were no more than a few pennies,” said Mary Maguire, Director, Public and Legislative Affairs.
“Crude prices increased last week as a result of increased optimism that China and the U.S. – the world’s two largest crude consumers – are continuing to resolve ongoing trade tensions.”
According to GasBuddy.com, prices on Cape Cod are between $2.39 and $2.99.
