FALMOUTH – Firefighters were called to scene of a house fire in Falmouth. Heavy smoke was showing from the attic of the structure when crews arrived on Deshon Drive just after 11:30 AM Monday.
Shortly before noon the fire was reported under control. No injuries were reported.
Falmouth Fire-Rescue reports that at approximately 1130 AM Monday, the Falmouth Fire Rescue Department responded to Deshon Drive, North Falmouth for a fire in the attic.
Occupants reported a fire in the attic and the house was evacuated. The fire was quickly extinguished and there was extensive overhaul done to ensure the fire was out. The house suffered fire, smoke, and water damage.
There were no injuries to occupants or Firefighters.
The fire is under investigation by Falmouth’s FIU, but is believed to be accidental, possibly electrical in nature.
Falmouth firefighters thank the Falmouth Police Department who assisted with Traffic Control. Joint Base Cape Cod, Sandwich Fire, Cotuit Fire, COMM Fire, and Bourne Fire/Rescue & Emergency Services assisted at the scene and covered the other incidents in town.
