BARNSTABLE – The jury heard opening statements this morning in the Quoizel Wilson murder trial at Barnstable Superior Court.
First District Attorney Michael Trudeau took the jury through the events of July 27 and 28 in 2010 when 23-year-old Trudie Hall of Nantucket went missing in Hyannis. He said they would be taken to view the places associated with the crime and hear about forensic and ballistic evidence.
In his opening statement, defense attorney Robert Galibois said there is no forensic evidence linking his client to the murder.
Trudie’s mother Vivienne Walker of Nantucket was the first witness on the stand.
She broke down in tears while watching a video showing her daughter going to the movies at Cape Cod Mall, just hours before she was murdered.
Testimony continues this afternoon.
