MARSTONS MILLS – Three people were were critically injured in a horrific crash in Marstons Mills sometime after 3 a.m. The two-vehicle crash happened on Route 28 at Osterville/West Barnstable Road. Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills (COMM) firefighters used the Jaws of Life to extricate two victims from the wreckage. Rescuers initially called for three medical helicopters. Two 20-year-old female victims were taken by COMM and Cotuit ambulances to the Cape Cod Airfield on Race Lane where two MedFlights landed and flew them to Boston Medical Center. A third person was rushed by COMM ambulance South Shore Hospital trauma center in Weymouth. A fourth person was taken to Cape Cod Hospital by West Barnstable ambulance. The crash is under investigation by Barnstable Police.
