WELLFLEET – Police in Wellfleet are hoping to build stronger relationships with residents and will hold a workshop on community policing this weekend.
Police chief Ronald Fisette says the forum will focus on building partnerships with the public.
“One of the major objectives of our community policing efforts is to establish an active partnership between the police and the community that can thoughtfully analyze problems and work to design, implement, and asses solutions and services in partnership that are truly community-based. This requires the police to make a conscious effort to create an atmosphere in which community partners actively and willingly co-operate with the police,” Fisette said.
Saturday’s forum runs from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Wellfleet Senior Center. Police are inviting residents to attend.
