FALMOUTH – After conducting various focus groups and other outreach, the Falmouth Public Library will soon release a survey to the public asking what they would like to see in the next few years.
Library Director Leslie Morrissey said she wasn’t particularly surprised by the feedback collected so far.
“What they’re looking for are Sunday hours, and more hours at the library,” she said.
Additionally, Morrissey said some patrons seem to desire coffee availability while others protest that.
Generally, she said, most responders do not wish to have many electronic components.
“They want us to stay a traditional print library,” Morrissey said.
An online and print survey will be available at all three town libraries and on the network’s website.
A strategic plan will be developed from the feedback, a required step in pursuing a grant from the Massachusetts Libraries Board of Commissioners.
