BREWSTER – State Representative Tim Whelan (R-Brewster) has been acknowledged by state leaders for maintaining a perfect voting record for the first half of the 2015-2016 legislative session.
The representative from Brewster participated in all 179 roll call votes in the House of Representatives between January and November 2015 with a 100 percent voting record.
Votes cast this session include a fentanyl trafficking bill, a statewide “Stolen Valor Act” and legislation raising the private and public net metering cap to encourage more solar energy projects.
“I thank my constituents in the 1st Barnstable District for their faith in me and their continued support of these important initiatives we tackled in the legislature during the first year of this legislative session,” said Whelan. “It remains a distinct honor to serve my community and I look forward to a successful year ahead as we address more critical issues.
Whelan currently serves on the Joint Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security, Higher Education and Public Service.
